PAVILLON BAR & KITCHEN // Lausanne

Originally built in the 80s as an ice cream parlour, the Pavillon’s golden ratio inspired building is in fact perched in the Riponne’s car park. In spite it’s original creative design, over the previous 30 years the venue had been exploited by many different businesses, with each modifying its interior. The challenge was to recuperate some of the original features and adapt the round shaped spaces to create an open atmosphere separate from the adjacent parking.

The Pavillon’s interior accentuates craftsmanship through the primary use of natural materials and bespoke features, such as handmade oak tables, white marble, bespoke brass overhanging shelves etc, which reflects the bar’s own soul and mission to deliver good quality traditional food and drinks.

The branding was developed in collaboration with local artist Sara Thom.
