Jaja Club // Lausanne

The new Jaja Club celebrates the return to a more festive life and invites to dance again!

In the heart of Lausanne old town, Studio Julia Christ has designed the gourmet and festive after-party of the adjacent restaurant Sardine. Giving free rein to her creativity thanks to a "carte blanche", the architect has imagined an electric universe.

To create this new hotspot of Lausanne’s nightlife, Julia Christ has found inspiration in the legendary London Fashion nights of the 90’s. In a contrasting atmosphere, the interior offers a contemporary interpretation of the sophisticated allure and provocative glamour of these trendy parties. From bright colours to wild patterns, her radical style breaks the codes to dare a bold mix of genres.

On the ground floor, the lounge area welcomes the public in a friendly atmosphere and proposes tapas and cocktails prepared by the team behind Sardine and JAJA, serial restaurateur Julien Colas and chef Alexis le Tadic.

In this interior brightened up with deliciously old-school notes, vintage furniture and contemporary pieces come together harmoniously. Sequins, pampas and peacock feathers add a touch of mild madness.

Lined with leopard patterns, the staircase leads to the dancefloor. Downstairs, under the vaulted ceiling, the ambiance is more intimate. The counter is sublimated by the subdued light emanating from the monumental shelf at the back of the bar. The pendant sign, claiming JAJA, sets the tone to laugh, celebrate, and dance. The iconic disco ball makes a raging comeback and jumps from its canopy to the walls, also adorned with mirrored tiles. The dancefloor is thus enveloped in sparkling reflections, letting the partygoers be carried away by the rhythm of the DJ!

From the red neon on the front to the illustrated aprons and pins worn by the staff, everything has been designed to the smallest detail. From the menu to the website, the custom branding created by Studio Julia Christ brings to life the festive spirit of the place.

It’s time to dance!
