“ Tout l’intérieur a été pensé pour refléter la richesse de la culture et les paysages du Pérou. Le Studio Julia Christ façonne de manière audacieuse l’architecture en utilisant les reliefs, textures et surfaces brutes à travers une composition chromatique soignée. La civilisation inca est mise à l’honneur par leur motif géométrique qui évoque les pyramides et la symbolique Croix des Andes*.”

GUANACO // Morges

For an exotic getaway, GUANACO Peruvian Kitchen & Bar celebrates the flavours of Peru, while exploring the sophistication and gastronomic diversity of its cuisine.

Inspired by the Peruvian culture and landscape, the interior finely crafted by Studio Julia Christ welcomes guests in a warm atmosphere punctuated by a subtle balance of natural and colourful tones.

The architectural work emphasises reliefs, textures and surfaces through a meticulous colour composition. Many hints pay tribute to the Inca civilization: the geometric pattern of the bar evokes the silhouette of the pyramids, while the mural painting recalls the Cruz del Sur. A selection of bold furniture and bespoke design pieces complete the interior that has been thought through down to the smallest details.

The raw beauty of natural materials dresses the space. The woven leather of the seats blends harmoniously with the solid oak of the tables and the bar top. True to South American tradition, the stained concrete floor reinforces the authentic feel.

Echoing the Japanese influence in the Peruvian cuisine, paper pendant lights delicately adorn the higher ceilings. They are complemented by lamps in natural fibres that shape the room with an attractive light and shadow effect.

Entirely designed and equipped by Studio Julia Christ, the venue, thanks to its spatial organisation, places the kitchen at the heart of the dining experience. The restaurant area surrounds the preparation plan that highlights, like a stage, the Chef’s show. The lively, yet relaxed and refined ambiance is the signature of this new address on the shores of Lake Geneva.

To enhance the visual experience, Studio Julia Christ also developed the restaurant's graphic identity. From the logo and menu, to a series of pictograms inspired by Peruvian patterns, the colourful branding adds the final touch to the interior.

In the heart of Morges, GUANACO Peruvian Kitchen & Bar provides a tasty break to food and travel enthusiasts.
